Product arrived as promised and works, at least as far as we know (fortunately no fires!).

Installation was a breeze. Just follow the instructions, install the two provided mollies, screw the base to the installed mollies, and then place the detector in the mount and turn until it locks, which automatically activates the device. I gave it a few seconds and hit the test button. If this thing does not wake you up nothing will.
Outdoor Pursuit –
They seem to work but of course how do you really know if you don’t have a fire. They were easy enough to set up. But they do make a lot of noise so be prepared for that both while connecting them and then installing them.

Been up for a month, no problems so far. Was inexpensive, well packed and easy to install. Just hope it works if needed. Looks a lot better than the old yellowed one anyway.

I ordered 2 of these 10 year smoke detectors for the peace of mine of not having to worry about replacing the batteries twice a year. Installation was pretty easy but we did have to make new holes as it would not line up with the old smoke detector screwsl.

We’re about to welcome our first baby so I wanted to make sure we were prepared for any fire emergencies. We don’t have hard wired detectors so after much research I came across these! I bought a mix of carbon monoxide detectors and these and was able to easily link all of them together. I tested to make sure and boy are they loud! They also seem to be of durable quality and easy on the eyes. They didn’t quite line up with the holes from our old detectors but were able to cover them up. I can’t review them based on effectiveness, and I honestly hope I won’t need to; but the ease of linking, quick set up, loud alarm and peace of mind is why I’m giving my 5 stars!!
