I make 3 types of black tea, English breakfast, Irish breakfast and Earl Grey, 1-1500ml pot per day. It worked great for 10 months (easy to use, easy to clean, good temperature control and fast brew time) for making tea from bulk. Recently it started to randomly leak out the remainder of the pot with no regard to how much tea was left. As you would imagine, that creates a big mess when the pot is half full or more.I contacted Viante customer support and to my delight they are sending me a new replacement unit! So the 5 stars is not only for the tea maker, but for Viante’s excellent customer support. I’m a very happy customer 😊

After you find a good loose full leave tea store, you will have a woderfull tea times. This tea kettle is simple. It has great stainless steel infuser and keep you team warm for your entire team time.

The overall design and operation of the unit is very nice. It heats up quickly, temperatures appear to be accurate to each setting, and it makes a great pot of tea quickly.Conthe tea infuser attaches to the lid (which is great for removal); however, this means that part of the infuser is not in the water– the area between the lid and the max height of the water level — so if the infuser is full for strong tea, the upper part of the infuser isn’t submerged in the water for full infusion… that’s a bummer. consequently, i rest the infuser on the bottom of the pot and usually it remains upright, but occasionally will tip and lose some of the tea. There is a built-in strainer at the spout which filters out larger tea pieces but if you don’t want any lose tea floating in your cuppa, you’ll want to pour through a strainer.Had the pot for a couple months when dark areas began to appear on bottom of pot, but it’s not an issue for me. I think it’s just a discoloration from the hard water we have.Overall, i do enjoy the quick and piping hot pot of tea I get with it.
