Riveting intro where Cruz writes about his father facing Communism in Cuba and finally escaping. He traces with great detail why and how U.S. inherited “wokism.” Insightful, articulate, and factual reading. I would highly recommend it.

Unwoke reads like both a polemic and a memoir. It is a polemic because it describes in detail how wokeness has infected various American institutions like a virus. It is a memoir because it also describes how Senator Cruz has battled wokeness throughout his career. One should forgive the senator for a little self-promotion. All politicians indulge in it. Besides, the book is at once engaging and frightening in its description of how much in peril the United States is in. Fortunately, Sen. Cruz offers hope that this too shall pass.

I was very interested in learning about the author’s father journey to America, what he discovered, and how he became aware of how Marxism deceives and manipulates the masses. With that being said, I wish Ted Cruz provided more resources for people who have been silenced or cancelled by the regime without fearing for their livelihood. Also, many of the events in this book discuss topics I’m already familiar with but would be a great history book for future generations. The book is very well written with no grammatical errors as I have come across in some other books, so kudos to the editors! Since I didn’t feel the need to read the book in its’ entirety, I will be exchanging it as the original price seemed a bit pricey albeit inflationary costs. Thank you Ted Cruz for diligently exposing the truth.

This is an outstanding book. My dad, husband, brother and cousin went to war to fight communism. Now, 50-70 years later, Marxism and Communism have entered America in an insidious manner, through our school system. I am grateful to Ted Cruz for bringing it to light and the history that explains how this has happened and his hopeful message as to how we can stop this movement.His main emphasis throughout the book is how we can communicate and listen to what our adversaries are saying, even though many of them have silenced those with conservative opinions with heckling and slogans.My grandmother grew up in Nazi Germany. As children they were to report on their neighbors. She never did and refused to join the Hitler Youth group. She watched as neighbors disappeared during the night never to be heard from again simply because they disagreed with the government. She legally fled to America.This should be required reading in our schools. Thank you, Mr. Cruz

I recommend this book for anyone who, like myself, sees what’s happening in America and scratches their head in disbelief. Everything, from the tragic events happening on our university campuses to the Anheuser-Busch fiasco, is made clear in this book by Senator Cruz. Marxism is the ideology back of communism, and Senator Cruz does an excellent job of raising its awareness. But he doesn’t stop there, Senator Cruz lays out a battle plan for defeating Marxism in America, because if we desire to be victorious over communism, the battle starts within our own borders.

An Absolute Necessity to Read!I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It seems that Senator Ted Cruz is closer to President Trump, in his desire to MAGA than people realize. I am deeply impressed with this open, honest, and thoroughly researched book. Senator Cruz’s personal experiences in government gives him an inside view of America’s politics and our desperate need for change. Making America Great Again has been the hallmark of the Trump Administration. It seems that democrats find this patriotic rallying cry distasteful and hope to destroy it by undermining its meaning. Senator Cruz is working hard to awaken America to the deep problems we are facing and must confront in a way that brings our country back to its foundational roots according to the Founding Fathers and our Constitution. IF you are concerned about the treacherous road our country is speeding downward on-I URGE you to read this book. To change things for a better world and better America for our future and the future of our children and grandchildren, you HAVE to KNOW what’s going on that needs changing!Don’t just trust the news media…they only tell the side they want you to know, the narrative of the culture of the day. We simply have to make certain that equal justice is applied to every American citizen. We are all different people, and we have different points-of-view, BUT we all deserve to be treated fairly in court and in life. We can not allow our Constitution and our rule of law, be turned against us as a weapon. If it comes unfairly for one, it will come unfairly for all-at some point!
