True to the level, carefully prepared reading comprehension exercises for beginner and elementary-level Turkish learners. Vocabulary practice at every step and comprehension exercises after each short story make this book a great self-study and practice book that you can follow. Totally recommend!

Wenn ich sage “sehr zu empfehlen”, dann meine ich natürlich für Türkischanfänger. Es hat mich einfch begeistert, dass ich diese einfachen Texte relativ mühelos lesen konnte, da der Wortschatz minimal gehalten wurde und es dazu auch viele Worterklärungen und Übungen gibt!

I really love this book! It’s wonderful. It gives you everything you need to expand your Turkish vocabulary and comprehension. I also like that it comes with audio and the quizzes are fun! I can’t wait to see the rest of the books in the series.

This book is well done and the stories are interesting and entertaining. It’s hard to find Turkish readers like this, so was glad I stumbled upon this and it exceeded my expectations. Also ordered the A2 book and hoping they come out with more.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I got this book, that I had to write a review. The book it is not big and there are 96 pages, but it’s really good! Includes exercises, vocabulary, it’s colorful. I know only few words and few sentences in Turkish, but with extra help from internet translation, I can go through, slowly, and it’s really great to learn sentences. Bonus – you get access to audio recordings of the stories!

I’ve been studying Turkish for 5 weeks, with two online programs and a few in-person conversational classes. This book is super helpful for me. I just read the first story today. But you do need to understand some things before using it. It helps to know basic verb endings, things like how direction are indicated in word endings, plurals and possessives, etc. If you don’t know the basics, you’ll be frustrated. I’m still quite new so I do have to use the vocabulary lists, but I at least know how the word endings in the sentences work, so I know who did the action and when/where they did it. I look forward to the stories getting easier as I improve my knowledge.
