I have been looking for a deal on a 300 DPI mini printer but for $8 I couldn’t pass this printer up even though it is only 200 DPI. The printer is nice for the price and the app is great with tons of features – save one (keep reading). Setup was extremely fast and simple but there is one major complaint that I have and that is the fact that I bought this printer to print photos from my phone, which it does but only using dithering so the printed pictures have a newspaper look to them. It’s not the printer’s fault, it’s that the app does not have an option to print gray scale. I have a few kids cameras that print directly onto thermal paper and you can select to print “dot” (dithering) or gray scale, I much prefer the more detailed, smoother look of the gray scale images but there is no selection in this printer’s app for that option. If you want to print memos or clip art this is a fantastic bargain and the printout looks good, but if you are looking to print photos, look elsewhere.
