I was pleasantly surprised to find that Daniel put humor into an otherwise frightening, disgusting story of crime against children. I laughed at the self degradation that Hazel puts herself through and cried at the horrible things that happened to those St.Agnes girls. I would and will recommend this book to all of my friends. It was a little slow going for me at first, but picked up pace and wasn’t able to put it down. Finished it in a day! I kept thinking I figured it out but was always proven wrong. I’m excited for the 2nd book to come out in Feb!

I could not put this book down! I read a lot of suspense & thriller books & I look for page turners because I get bored quick. This did NOT disappoint. I love a book that you can’t put down. I was actually sad when it ended. However, I am happy to hear there’s a 2nd part coming & I cannot wait! The main character is very relatable which I think is important, I felt like in real life I could be friends with her, lol. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll just say that it’s an excellent mystery/suspense book that keeps you wondering until the very end. There are several twists that I did not see coming & I consider myself an expert at predicting what’s next in a book. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

This book immediately got into my Top 3 books of all time. Miller does an amazing job of keeping it fast-paced, and so interesting, and it’s such a thriller, absolutely loved it! I could not put it down. I read it in 3 days and that was a while I was even on vacation… its that good! You will not regret this purchase at all! I can’t wait for the second book to come out!

I’m impressed by the authenticity with which the author wrote the female protagonist, it did not feel forced, pandering nor saturated in the male gaze. On top of that, a fantastic crime story woven together with a cast of all too human characters. Effortless and enjoyable to read. I immediately preordered the 2nd book after finishing this one!
