A great rendition of what happened to these unfortunate people. It’s hard to think and comprehend what horrid trials these people had to endure. It would change your life forever.
Thelma Jean Sweet –
At the same time it’s unbelievably shocking, yet leaves the reader hunger for more. The children of tragedy possess survival instincts that most adults lack.
Patty –
While difficult to believe that such atrocities happened, they did. This is a walk through one families trials and challenges. Never Forget this DID happen and learn from the past.
JD –
A good but sad read that really opens your eyes to what happened during the Holocaust. Would recommen it. It is a short read but good.
Jim Nohava –
Just started reading yesterday. Very good book, and a critical documentation of what a family in ever-changing Europe (Czech, hungary, poland,germany,..) of the early 1900s affected jewish peoples lives…
T. Schopflocher –
The gripping story of a Holocaust survivor. The inhuman treatment of these innocent people by the Germans is tragic. This book is particularly pertinent because the story is told by a survivor who was a young boy and his will to survive the atrocities and brutal treatment despite his tender age.
Robert Hicks –
It is amazing that he survived the war and what was most disturbing was how his neighbors and city people turned on his family when Hitler started his speeches against the Jews. He really was on his own at 14 years old
M. Kolts –
This book is a narrative of one man’s experience from early in his childhood, through his time as a captive of the Germans at age 13. He describes the horrors he survived during WWII and continues with his after war life. His description of his feelings and sensory experience throughout are clear and explanatory. All people should read this book to explain to themselves how hatred and power can can be devastating, if allowed to exist and grow. It is a lesson to be learned as a preventative to future evil and a reminder of how life, itself, can easily be destroyed.
