Weaved the lives of these two great Americans together very well, showed how both wished to improve the lives of blacks in their time, and made clear how backward and prejudiced leaders of the south were in that era. A great partnership of mutual respect and efforts to advance equality in a difficult time.

Joyce Good Henderson –
While this book is fiction, it was truly inspired by news headlines, current events in the Middle East and the prophecies in Scripture. The plot is fast-moving, characters compelling and storyline realistic. I have not studied End-Time prophecy and events for many years and this book encouraged me to take a new look at Scripture. Not a book for the faint-of-heart, very real in light of current events. It reads as if the author knew what was coming when he started writing. I recommend this book to anyone interested in Biblical Prophecy, end-times events, the current state of affairs in the Middle East, politics and their own salvation.

Bryan Kilmeade is an excellent writer of history. His research is impeccable. This book was a fascinating read which angered me and challenged my understanding of this period of history and these two very important men who helped to move our nation forward from a very dark period. I highly recommend reading it no matter what you think you know. I guarantee you’ll learn from the experience. It’s easy to read. Thanks Brian Kilmeade! I can’t wait for your next project.

I’ve enjoyed the book very much. The writing is excellent and I’m learning more than what I thought I knew about these two wonder Men!!
Robert F Gessner –
Learning about Booker T Washington’s and Teddy Roosevelt’s lives, their similarities and differences was interesting. The book shows how these two men set an example for the nation and helps us understand the great progress our country has made in civil rights.

Brian Kilmeade’s writing is such a pleasure. I normally do not read non-fiction….as it tends to be tedious and at most times, boring – but not this book. Kilmeade”s writing simply flows off the page holding the reader’s interest and creating a learning experience well worth the ride. He makes this important time in history come alive – makes all the participants come alive…….makes the reader feel a part of the story that actually took place in our important history.

I enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed “The President and the Freedom Fighter” by Kilmeade. There needs to be another collaboration between a US President and a US citizen that will move the needle in the right direction as far as race relations are concerned.

I’ve read several of Brian Kilmeade’s books. I enjoy his take on history; he makes it interesting, entertaining, and informative. Teddy and Booker T, in my opinion, is his best yet, and I highly recommend it.I have been fascinated with Teddy for years and read several biographies. I knew less about Booker T, but found him as fascinating as Teddy. Booker’s concept of black education and training, be it classical, technical, or trade-related, was spot-on for his time and still very relevant today. However, I am less impressed with the Du Bois concept of “the talented tenth.”Brian’s story of Teddy and Booker T drives home the point that history is an unending journey that requires time, patience, and wisdom. Regardless of race, we desperately need more men like Teddy and Booker T today.I look forward to Brian’s next story.
