I have only used it once so far, as it just arrived today.I don’t think a microwave oven will boil 1 quart + of water as fast as this pot does it.Very intuitive operation. Just note the switch below the handle. A ring of lights comes on in the pot making it obvious when power is on.Ithas the heating element in the pot. the base is just a power dock.As the pot says not to immerse in water, I would only use it to boil water for purposes such as a Melita “pour over” coffee making filter/carafe set or pouring hot water into a ramen noodles cup. This was what I bought it for.

My wife gifted me an electric kettle because I drink a lot of teas. As time went on I found multiple uses for the kettle. I like it because it’s transparent and you know exactly how much water you want to boil and the reservoir level at all times. My mother drinks a lot of teas so I gifted her one. She was so pleased! I received many brownie points on this purchase. When my sisters and brother saw the kettle they wanted one too. I’ve been keeping Amazon busy as the kettle makes a wonderful gift for all. It’s rare to find a product that everyone likes but this certainly is one of them.

It works perfectly great for the job it is supposed to do. I can boil water so I can have tea and since my husband is a coffee drinker and we don’t have a coffee maker thingy he can use it with the instant stuff. I haven’t tried brewing loose tea in it since it has a screen thingy – I just figured it’s an extra step to clean later so I would rather use it for water only.Normally I hate things that light up but for this it’s great because I can tell if it is on and the light turns off when it is done!Edit: also since we have a gas stove and our regular teapot is ceramic means it can take a while to heat up and the exhaust on the oven cover thing doesn’t actually go anywhere.

I don’t know why it took me so long to get an electric kettle. It is so convenient! It boiled water quickly and is so easy to use. I find myself using it to make more than just tea, for instance, ramen and broth.

Needed a new pot for tea water and after reading the reviews decided for the price this one would work fine. Works as advertised and heats up fairly quickly. Some reviewers said it was noisy, I didn’t find any noise other than the boiling water. I like that its a pretty large pot so you can boil water and serve tea to several people

This kettle boils water very quickly. It’s attractive for keeping right on the counter. Be careful not to touch the top when it’s boiling or hot as that is made of metal and gets very warm. It’s well made. I would buy it again.

This is my first ever owned electric kettle and let me tell ya it’s AMAZING. It’s super simple to use and super quick to bring water to a steaming boil. It’s really convenient to have and has decreased the time I take to leave my house in the morning with my hot coffee or tea in hand. Also very well made, and sturdy!

Purchased this tea kettle for my mom, thought it is safer than a whistling kettle that she might not hear and boil it dry. This kettle has a good sized handle that is easy to grasp and hold firm. I like that the lid stays open after you press the button, no need to hold it down to keep the lid open as it fills with water. Love the blue light when it turns on, told mom it is like a lava lamp!

This water boiler even turns its self off when it is ready. easy to use with the clear markings of where the water levels are. Feels fast and feels consistent. Happy with it

I spend a lot of time in my upstairs “office” and got tired of running down to the kitchen waiting for water to boil so it was time to invest in an electric kettle. After looking at a few and reading reviews, I decided to try this one and I’m not disappointed!I have used it almost daily, multiple times for 2 months now. It has been very reliable so far, the auto shutoff works as should, I understand some people had issues. No scaling so far (I use bottled water). It feels well made and very solid, nice stainless steel trim, compact design, solid glass that feels better than any coffee carafe I’ve had, the cord has a nice length (about 2 feet) and feels quality, cheaper models often have flimsy cords that I don’t feel are safe. The blue light is a nice touch and an easy indicator as to it being on or off, there is a noticeable click sound when it shuts off as well. The on/off button feels confident, you know it’s ON when pressing it. The lid opens about half way when pressing the button, you can manually open it a bit more, I find it easy to fill and clean, even with my 8″ wrists! I noticed the lid won’t shut properly unless closed by pushing the black ‘button’ on the lid, which I think is clever – no fingerprints on the stainless! No drip pouring and comes out at a decent angle/rate, doesn’t splash all over. Boils water fairly quick, for 1-2 large cups I’d say about 1-2 minutes maybe, times out perfect with my toaster. When full I’d say 5ish? not too sure, have only done that once.I like the warranty registration offered by Peach Street, very simple to complete and gives a very confident feeling in the company and product. I believe 1 year warranty, but during first 6 months also free shipping.Overall I highly recommend it and am happy with my purchase, time will tell how long it lasts. My wife loves it so much she wants to get one for work.
