Very very easy to install. I used the peel and stick method rather than the screws, but it came with both, so it was a matter of choice. I had 20-year-old smoke detectors, just removed them and replace them with these. Feel better that there are now working smoke detectors in every room.

So far there is nothing to dislike about. Do you smoke detectors price is good sensitivity seems to be fair. Have not had any post alarm shot 50 smoke detectors two sets now for something about a year ago any other side just know I have rental houses and the other two manufactures units are falling by the wayside quickly way before their 10 year limit so we will see how these do so far everything seems great I do recommend these

Bought this 4 pack July last. Installed them and they worked good for 5 months then one started beeping. I pulled it and installed a new battery. Because Energizer L91 AA Ultimate Lithium are recommended I bought a 4 pk from Amazon for $15 and change. When these arrived I replaced the 2nd battery with an Energizer. Long/short it too went dead so that detector is defective and eats batteries but there’s no return/exchange on the detector after 30 days. The remaining 3 are still running on their original batteries. Would I buy these again? NO!!!! UPDATE: The seller offered a refund or a replacement for my one chirper. Either was fine with me. I guess as a display of standing behind their product they sent four new replacements. I was amazed because now days companies don’t give a rats behind about the consumer. So, I appreciated they did this and restored my faith in their products. Thank you!!!! PS; Thought I changed your rating from three to five stars but I just double checked to find three stars still. I just now changed your rating from three to five stars AGAIN. If you happen to check and find your at three again, LET ME KNOW PLEASE.

These smoke detectors are so stinking easy to install! While there is hardware to attach it to the wall with the screws, the back of the base plate also has a 3M adhesive on it that sticks directly to the wall. The only issue I ever had was attempting to align the detector to the baseplate so that it twisted into place. The read out is loud and clear and on the plus side, it comes with batteries!
