When it comes to SD cards, SanDisk is the brand I have relied on for several years. So far I have not had issues with any, and that trustworthy reliability and performance is why this is my go-to – be it 16, 32, 64, or 128gb.Recently I was considering the Samsung Plus but their sale price did not return whereas SanDisk did get discounted again, so it was an immediate purchase. I don’t have much more to say, I was very happy with the transfer speed and the read speed is excellent as well.

Sandisk is the highest quality supplier of memory (Micro SD). It is always been that way. I have never had the Sandisk memory fail in all my years of service. In this case I needed the high performance for use in my Mini 3 Drone to store pictures and videos during drone photography. Higher rated for the drone and highly rated by me as well. You will not be disappointed by a decision to buy Sandisk.

Download ValiDrive from GRC (Gibson Research Corporation). Free tool to verify/check if memory card is legit. There are lots of fakes out there.UHS-I spec limits to 104MB/s, but to exceed that you’ll need a specific card reader. Sandisk card reader obviously can read faster with their own cards. Samsung cards uses their own reader. Most companies tend to use proprietary methods and aren’t usually interchangeable between brands. However, they will all read the the specification limit of 104MB/s.There are a few rare card readers that could write/read faster with all card brands. For example my Kingston MobileLite Plus USB 3.2 card reader works with this Sandisk. Writes at 120MB/s & Reads 170MB/s on a WIN10 PC. Note that these speed will never transfer that fast inside a digital camera, tablet, phone or gaming device. They are often strict to the UHS-I specification.

Sd card usb stick data storage read writeI bought this to use to take alot of videos of a school reunion.It was coming up on my highschool reunion and I needed an SD card with enough memory to record at least 100 photos as I was planning to upload them to facebook for our reunion club.I bought a couple and headed to the reunion.I took video and WAS ABLE TO RECORD ABOUT HALF HOUR of video on one SD card I just had to record it with mid range pixel count. But it did work!In total I was able to take over 1000 pre-edit photos on the other and the quality of the images and the sheer amount this card holds also blew my mind!I would purchase another of these for video storage if a higher read/write speed was offered.A good value for the pricetag!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I wanted to find a fast, reliable brand that would allow me to fit large volumes of photos and after much research, I settled on this SD Card and it did NOT disappoint!It is easy to use, has a large memory and would be perfect for weddings or events! Ease your mind knowing that your digital memories are in a safe place!It really doesn’t handle video well. I use a Canon Rebel T7 and while it does amazingly with pictures or other things of the sort, video requires a faster read/write. So you can get maaaybe 12 minutes of video before you have to notice it stopped recording and restart it. And sometimes when you pick back up on recording it skips a bit since the buffer is slow. A new SD card fixed my issue so be warned.I bought this to go with my dad’s game camera for at our family camp. We left it up for about three weeks and got over 5,000 photos!! The quality of the images and the sheer amount this card holds blew our minds! Well worth the money! Here are a couple of our favorites as reference.Possible improvements on ths would be to increase the read/write speed..

I’ve had bad luck with other brands, even the Samsung ones. These Sandisk ones just always work, and they’re the standard at my company where we use loads of memory cards. Never had an issue recording 8k 24fps. Fast transfer speeds too. Simple, get the job done, easily recognizable, fit right. They look the part and will always be my go to.

Update: Alright I have played it a bit and here is what I think. I formatted the sd card and downloaded games to it, although it needed me to retry some of the games it still worked. When you start a game it won’t put the updates onto the sd card saying that there is no room even though there is plenty. It plays the games from the card just fine no issues with it at all other than it needs the game download resumed or retry which starts back where it started and making sure the internal storage is clear for game updates. All in all works great for a steam deck.I purchased this to have more room on my steam deck. The package did come in a bit rough but the card seemed fine. I had to try to format a few times but the steam deck finally read it and formatted it right. Downloading games just fine though it said not enough disk space while downloading warframe but that’s as easy as resuming the download. I’ll come back to update after I start playing the games
