I like the electric cord management. Easy and fast boiling. Looks to be sturdy even though still fairly new. Nice cool looking light display while boiling Not going to remove a star for this but a little less bulky would have been even better. Happy camper!

I got mine used and it works fantastic. I’m so glad I decided to get it. It actually does boil in 3 minutes which kind of surprised me if I’m being honest. I love tea so this was a great investment haha.

I use my kettle at least a couple of times a day, so I’ve been using this a lot. I’ve had it over a month now, and have zero complaints. The price was outrageously inexpensive (though I had to get red, which isn’t really my thing, but the others weren’t in stock when I needed it…not that big of a deal to me).I love everything about it: the auto shutoff, being able to fill through the top doohickey instead of opening the lid (though you can open the lid and fill as well). Not having to place it just so on the heating pad…it goes on in any position. That right there is worth the price of admission because it’s so easy to put it back down. The lid popup button is just right for my hand.I haven’t timed it, but it heats water much faster than my last one. (A cheap WM brand that lasted YEARS)

I practically use this every day! In the mornings, I boil the water for hot coffee and in the evening I enjoy hot apple cider. This morning, thanks to the kettle, I’m enjoying hot earl gray tea. I started using the kettle since I’m letting someone borrow my microwave and I was tired of using pots and pans to boil water, thus not allowing me to make dinner for myself. So now, I can use my kettle for hot beverages and use my pots and pans for cooking. I enjoy the kettle – it does a great job of boiling water quickly, it’s easy to get water in and has safety measures to keep water in. I worried about flies getting into the kettle, but the pour has a filtration that lets me pour out water but keeps flies and such out. It doesn’t overheat, it doesn’t under heat: it comes to a boil for a few minutes, then stops. If I need it boiling hot, I can use it right away. If I want it to cool down, I leave it for a few minutes so that it’s just warm. I prep a mug by adding sugar and tea, or hot apple cider mix and cinnamon, or instant coffee mix with my fave syrups and cold milk – then I simple pour the hot water from the kettle. This was such a good investment and so cute for my kitchen!!!!

I’ve been looking for an electric teapot at a good price for awhile now–tax included, it cost $17.28. Boiling water on the electric stovetop heats up the kitchen–and the microwave either takes too long to be sure it’s boiling, or I wait too long and it’s boiling over the top. I swear I almost exploded a teabag this summer.This was not only a really good price, it’s attractive on the counter–nice clean lines. When you turn it on, the water looks blue through the window, and you can see the bubbles start in just a minute or so–then it shuts itself off after the water has started to boil; you can tell from across the room because the water in the window is no longer lit up. So far, it has worked fine, even though it was in a box with another item, without any packing material and after traveling for five days, still didn’t make it to my door. It’s got a heavy-duty cord and the pot easily sits on the heating plate. (Maximum amount of water it’ll boil is a little over 7 cups or 1 3/4 quarts.)As long as it keeps working like this, it’s well worth every penny.

I like how good-looking this product is. I also like how easy it is to use. You just fill it with water, plug it in to the wall, and flip the switch at the top. And it boils the water. The interior light is a little bit soft. Like I wish it were a little brighter. And I wish there were a light on the little on off switch at the top. But that’s just me being picky. This thing works so well that those little changes I would make wouldn’t prevent me from buying it the way it is. The on/off switch flips off automatically so as not to keep heating the water. When it reached optimal temp, it stops. perfectly. it boils just enough water for my French Press, and with some to spare.

This is a wonderful kettle if you’re looking for something to boil water and don’t want to spend too much money. It boils water and automatically shuts itself off when it boils, which does still work at higher altitudes where boiling point is a little lower. I haven’t noticed any off flavors in my tea either. It’s made of plastic, but it is very sturdy. My only qualm is that the cord is rather short (around 2-3 feet if I had to guess), but this is not uncommon with electric kettles.

I’m a repeat purchaser of this style of Ovente electric kettle. The first one, bought over eight years ago, did a consistently fine job and was free of any problems. When that one was bought, white was the only offering. They’re our more eye-catching color options now, and black coordinates nicely with our kitchen’s granite countertops. The new kettle works as well as the first one. It is lightweight, boils water very quickly, and shuts off automatically as soon as the water reaches optimum temperature. The size, appearance (attractively retro), quality, and durability of this kettle are outstanding, all at a modest price. We really like the Ovente and recommend it.

So far I love it but I’ve only used it once to see how long it took and make sure the light and automatic shut-off was working properly. Both worked wonderfully, lights up while it’s on and shuts off when it’s done. At max capacity with cold tap water it took approximately 10 minutes to boil. This is not maintaining a bubbling, rolling, overflowing boil, in case someone for some reason expects that, but it is and it’s perfect for my uses(reg and loose leaf tea and the occasional instant soup). To clarify it does bubble up for those of you who may not know how these kettles work that is what triggers the shut-off so it then goes back to its resting state. The handle remains cool enough so no danger there, the body of it is decently hot though as is to be expected. Currently it has been shut off for 14 minutes and is still steaming. The way I drink tea I could easily drink a cup and still have enough hot water for another which is kind of awesome.Cons:The plastic is obviously a little cheap feeling as a few others have mentioned. This is really inconsequential to me as the price is low enough I would expect Something to be on the cheaper and I’d rather it be that than say the heating element. It’s still decently think and so far appears to distribute or not distribute heat as it should, so not a big deal. As a side note is also still looks fairly nice.Cleaning. Okay so these things are kind of always a bitch to clean. For this one the mouth is fairly small so it was a bit difficult to get my hand down in it to wipe it out(and I am a fairly small woman). Again, a lot of these electric kettles have this issue so to be expected. The kettle cannot be submerged so the outside just needs to be wiped down with a damp cloth or sponge and if any soap is used make sure the soap is cleaned off and it’s completely dry before use. Now for the little filter. None of my old kettles have this so it’s a new, kind of cool little feature for me. There’s nothing really telling you how to remove it or replace it so I had to mess with it a little to figure it out and with the cheap plastic I was a little scared to do so. Was also kind of annoying with the small opening trying to see and feel but it slides out with a little pressure and then you slide it in and pop it back into place so pretty simple once I figured it out.The chord. So the chord is reallyy short. Like you should probably just put it right in front of the plug in. This is probably the most annoying con for me cause the spot I had is really right next to the plug in but still far enough away that it barely reached and my kettle is practically against the next item on my counter. I did plan on getting a strip for that outlet so I’ll make it work but was still a bit frustrating. So prepare to have it directly in front of a plug in if you keep it on your counter.Packaging. Okay so I noticed others mention this in reviews and was worried about it but mine showed up all in one piece undamaged. BUT I can see where the concern comes from. It is packaged in a plastic bag inside a box inside your standard Amazon so no not a lot of cushion going on if the handlers were too rough I could easily see it showing up damaged.Side-note: now at nearly 30 minutes and still steaming so that’s pretty awesome for a ten minute heating time.Otherwise everything looks good I’m giving 5 stars as none of my cons are more than minor inconveniences I mostly expected and don’t really differ from anything in the listing. Great bang for your buck, I’m super excited about it and can’t wait for the much needed tea-time it will bring me! 😁
