  1. Pam I Am

Our new puppy definitely loves a challenge and to be mentally stimulated so we use this for his lunch time feeding as well as for treats. He hasn’t quite figured out how to spin it himself but he loves opening the little doors to search for delicious little nuggets. As he gets a little older I think this will be a great piece to keep mealtimes or playtime interesting and ever-changing.

I enjoy watching my dog figure things out. This is stimulating and keeps him busy. It’s a 2 level toy, so you’re able to start slow or jump in with all paws. I just let him go at it and sat back to watch. We both had fun…

The media could not be loaded.  My girl is a GSD and something that I worry about constantly is her developing bloat, which happens to high chested dogs. The only thing that can really be done to prevent it is feeding her slowly so I decided to give this slow feeder/toy a try!I had one in the past, but her old one wasn’t nearly sturdy enough and it tore up after a day or two of use. She was able to pick the old feeder up and when it landed on the top side all of her food would come out. This slow feeder is actually screwed in at the top with a plastic part of the feeder and it stays together. Even if she flips it, she still has to work to get the food out. It keeps her busy for almost half an hour when I fill it to the top, so not only is it feeding her slowly but it’s also acting as mental stimulation to help prevent boredom.Refilling the feeder is very easy and everything comes apart and goes back together easily and quickly. It includes an extra plastic flap which is appreciated because sometimes my dog likes to chew things she shouldn’t and having a spare is always nice.I can’t recommend this enough to anyone looking for a great way to feed their dog!

Great toy to keep cat amused for awhile. Once all treats are found, lost interest.

  5. Michelle

Great for any size dog! My little one is 4 months and she got it super quickly and started finishing all the food in there quick. I even use it as a slow feeder because it keeps her distracted and she doesn’t eat her food as fast as usual. She loves it!

So far my dogs are getting the hang of this

  7. LUCKY REVIEWS

My pupper loved this right out of the box! She somehow knew it was for her. She could hardly wait for me to put kibble in it. I lifted up one of the compartment doors to show her that her food was inside, and that’s all it took. She figured the whole thing out, including spinning the middle part. (Which I hadn’t shown her). This dog puzzle is an excellent purchase for both your pup and you watching her. Have fun., it also acts a way to help slow your pup down while they’re eating. So if you have a gobbler… It might be worth your time to try this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The media could not be loaded.  COMMENTS: I’ve wanted to start puzzle toys for my Cairn Terrier for more stimulation, and thought this would be a good one to start with. I wasn’t wrong.PROS:- It was simple to fill and dispense the food right away.- I didn’t want to use this as his only food source, but apparently I might! He was able to figure out and start using the level one (just flipping the doors to get the food) right away and watched close when I spun it, so I think that will be solved quickly. He seems to love going from door to door and investigating them. It seems like he’s able to get food out fairly easily.- The cats might actually start using this too; they seem really intrigued by it. I might get another to use for cat treats.- Food seemed to dispense easily by turning. Not a massive amount in each (see my second photo), but enough! Pictured is using an average kibble from big national store-brand dog food (not small breed sized).- I think Terrier sized (my boy is about 22lbs) may be the limit to prevent it from being slid around, damaged, and just the general ability to manipulate food out.NEUTRALS:- Like some other reviewers I’m a little concerned about cleaning, but I might try the dishwasher and see what happens.- It came with one extra door to replace a damaged one.CONS:- It moves around the floor really, really easily. I wish it was heavily weighted in the base, as I can see this getting pushed under furniture easily.- I think it’s slightly overpriced at $28.90 (at time of writing), it seems more like a $25.00 or less item, but not by much.GIFTABLE: Yes, but I would gift wrap. It just comes in a plain brown box.CONCLUSION:- The most important thing is that my boy seems to like it! He’s been using it since I filled and set it down and was watching me closely when I showed him how to dispense more food. Even if he gets use to it, I think it’s a great extra level of stimulation during the day. I really don’t think anyone with a dog over about 25-30lbs would be as satisfied with this though, especially if using it as a feeding system. I’m happy with it, but it’s definitely a know your dog purchase.

The basic puzzle is a simple “flip the lid, get the treat” deal that any reasonably persistent dog will figure out quickly. The genius of this puzzle though is in its second feature. In the middle is a covered rotating bowl where kibble can be placed. As the bowl rotates, kibble is dispensed into the little lid covered compartments. I don’t think my dogs will ever figure out that they have to spin the bowl to dispense the treats, but they definitely know there’s food in the bowl and its somehow going to appear in the covered slots if they keep interacting with the thing, as the bowl is easily rotated by any contact with their snouts and paws. Despite them not connecting the dots of “spin=dispense”, the puzzle is a genius design because a full bowl of kibble will keep them interested for literally hours. I’ve seen our dogs interact with it for an hour, leave it, then return to it later. It’s kind of like an “all day self refilling puzzle”.The boring stuff: sturdy, well built, but the feet aren’t grippy enough to keep it in place against a large determined dog. Not a star-dropping issue as any non-slip mat will keep it in place. Also, thanks for including a spare lid, it’s already come in handy!

Does your dog eat so fast you think they’re going to choke? Does your dog need to be entertained and just putting food in a bowl doesn’t work or last long enough? If you answered yes to either of those questions this is the dog puzzle for you. It’s a great way to work your dogs brain and sniffer while also slowing them down while eating. The doors come off for washing and so does the top part that they smack to release food. The only tricky part for cleaning is the little shoots that the food travels from the main container into each little pocket. My dog loves it and it keeps her occupied for around 30 minutes and she’s a mini dachshund so she’s a hunter by nature. GET THIS PUZZLE FOR YOUR DOG, THEY WILL LOVE IT
