Fun, Well-Stocked Beginner’s Kit
First off, this kit is very well-packaged. The plastic case is very sturdy, and most boarded components were sealed in individual anti-static bags. I have more jumper wires, LEDs, and resistors than I think I’ll ever need. It also, luckily, includes a card that shows you how to read the value of a resistor (this will come in very handy). A tutorial CD is shipped with it, though I don’t have a CD drive, so I emailed Lafvin’s support, who kindly gave me a link where I could download it. I have some basic electronics knowledge and experience, but I’ve never done anything involving microchips or programming, and the tutorial so far has been an excellent help. It makes things pretty easy to understand, and I think I’ve discovered my new hobby.

Great value
I have bought three Arduino super started kits, Smarza, Elegoo, and yours (LAFVIN). I am planning to give a lab course for the Osher Lifetime Learning Institute at Berkshire Community College in the Spring. (BerkshireOLLI.org). Because you will require us to figure out which resistor is which, using the color codes or a multi-meter, I cannot use your kits. Your competition stamps the resistor value on the paper strips. You do not. (Stop the presses: Lafvin told us they will be putting the values on their new strips). Another plus, LAFVIN also has two trays to hold parts, the others only have one

Nice stuff over all. Garbage Breadboard
I love all the sensors and buttons and included items. It makes learning to do this stuff easy. However I do have an issue with the breadboard. It is absolute trash. (not just me throwing stones here. Friend got me into this and he agrees. He’s got Arduino based stuff in many applications) I am never quite sure if I goofed something up or if the breadboard is at fault. So I am saying Thumbs up to the kit over all. But perhaps be aware that the breadboard might be causing some of your headaches. Pony up for a nicer one. They ARE NOT expensive.

This is a great tool kit for learning and more
This is an excellent kit to start with Arduino, electronics and programming in general. What I liked the most was the number of components with different functionalities and the price is very good because the components are of very good quality. The information is excellent, it comes with a CD but also a QR code. I wrote to support for information and they answered me very quickly and sent me new links in less than 1 day of attention.I will definitely buy more components from this vendor, although I am still testing all the functionalities and learning about these projects.

Learn Arduino on a budget.
This kit has all you need to learn Arduino. I have done about a dozen of the projects, you can find lots of tutorials and additional projects on youtube. once you learn how to tinker with the language, and start making devices for use in the real world, one can buy directly from Arduino. to support the organization. but for folks that just want to play around, and see what this hobby is all about. this kit is a great place to start. I think it would make a good gift for anyone that you know is into technology and programming. actually, the future is all about IoT ( Internet of Things ) and micro-controllers/sensors and automation . this is a good kit to lay a foundation of knowledge in that area.

Excelente producto.
The media could not be loaded.

I recommend this kit to anyone to wants to start with arduino.
From a time ago I use to make little projects with my raspberry pi. Is fun, but I realized that a micro controller fit better the projects I’m interested. So I decided to buy and arduino uno kit.The LAFVIN super learning kit is cheap and have all the parts you will need to start almost any project. Everything come pack in a small box with a lot of compartments. The bread board is a must in this type of kits, and off course is included. The stepper motor is one of my preferred items, I never had the opportunity to work with one of this type of motors before this kit (I’m a newbie) and is a nice piece of hardware. Cables, resistances, sensors all is included, even a 9v battery with connector is in the kit.In summarize, I’m very happy with this purchase. I recommend this kit to anyone to wants to start with arduino.

Cool kit, good fun!
I absolutely love this sort of electronics kit and this one is pretty nice. I was a bit concerned that I was going to experience some language issues with the instructions as the Amazon page for the item has some well, how do I say this, I felt that it was evident that it was written by someone whose native language is not English. Very happy to say that the instructions for all of the projects are written really well and there are lots of photos and diagrams that are done really well, too. I was making cool projects right away! There’s tons of stuff to do and this kit will keep you busy for hours. Everything arrived just the way it was shown and in good condition. It’s terrific fun and the price is amazing given the hours of entertainment value that comes packed in this box! Just know that it is very intricate work and I find that I need to use a magnifier to see some of the smaller items well. I also use a pair of stats for grabbing the tinier items and wires. Great kit.

Errors in instructions, sound sensor did not work
The sound sensor didn’t work. I emailed support about 4 days ago, but haven’t heard back yet. I will change the ratings and update this review if they respond. The lesson on the DC motor had an error in it I think. You need to connect pin 16 on the L293D to +5V otherwise the DC motor won’t run. I verified this by looking at some other tutorials online such as this onehttps://lastminuteengineers.com/l293d-dc-motor-arduino-tutorial/For what it’s worth, I looked up the instructions for other kits like the elegoo and it had the same error and was essentially the exact same lesson. Also, the IR receiver tutorial had a software issue I think. It was receiving the button presses, but seemed to decode them incorrectly. For example, pressing 1, would be decoded in the software as 4 or something. This is easily fixed, but just something to note while going through the lessons. The analog joystick also worked, but instead of values between 0-1023, I got values from 0-736. I’m not sure why yet.Overall, I can’t complain because of the great price, but I had just a few tiny issues here and there. For someone who isn’t as familiar with electronics, these issues might be frustrating enough to make this learning kit not so good for learning.

Great Arduino introductory kit
Purchased for daughter who wanted an introduction to microcontroller applications. This is a great kit with a wide range of devices for exploration of many applications. Lessons are reasonably well detailed in accompanying disk and were available on line for pre-purchase review. I suggest printing several at a time so that the user can concentrate on doing the set up and coding without having to flip back and forth to a PDF on screen, or set up the instruction guide on another device. Lessons explore motor control (DC, DC Servo, Stepper), sensor applications in light and ultrasonics, light control, human interface, power control and more. Good price for nice kit.

Great starter kit for Arduino
I recently started to learn more about Arduino and had compared different starter kits on Amazon before making this purchase. This is a very well thought-out kit which included everything needed to get started on Arduino at a great value. Based on what I’ve learned so far, it’s probably got enough components to complete some fairly complex projects that I have in mind. Lafvin service is also very responsive and helpful. The included CD was not readable on my laptop, and they responded to my request very quickly and provided the download link. Great product! Thank you!

Poor PDF tutorial
As a beginner with no computer language skills this PDF is very limited in the teaching of how to write the language. Also , the PDF tutorials are outdated with what has been updated in the arduino examples. They are difficult to find or dont exist. I use YouTube or other similar tutorial sites that explain more in detail. As for pricing, I feel it’s good value for the money.

Amazing kit!
I’m a Raspberry Pi guy, so when I bought this I didn’t know what I was doing. So I also ordered a separate Arduino. You don’t have to! It comes with one inside. This set is amazing! And even though I don’t know how to use half of the stuff yet, I have all winter to play with it. It’s a super deal! Everything you need in one little box. I love it!!!

Not really good for beginners
The hardware is good but the CD-ROM that shows you how to get started is out of date and not very useful. The examples are for Windows computers only and are just not easy to follow. If a buyer can get help online to get started, the kit will work well.

All You Need to Learn How to Use Arduino
If you ever wanted to learn to use Arduino, then this is the best place to start. I originally tried an online course but it was a big hassle to order the different parts. This set comes with everything you need AND a course that you can follow along to learn how to use the pieces. The course work is on a CD but you can find a link to download it online all the same if you don’t have a CD drive. So far it’s working out great and I’ve learned more about circuitry in one hour with it than I have my entire life.

Great starter kit and the price
I like this kit because it has everything that I needed for my researched. Actually, I’m a beginner, and trying to making sense on my project with Dual 7 Segments, analog feature and this is just what i need. This also can be a good starts for my will be 6 years old Son. He loves Robotic, especially with Lego’s.- This kit came with more than 20 lessons, code, libraries, and datasheets, components and breadboard that you able get it started. As I step into the code and I finally get an idea on my Project. So far so good.

Good kit – great price
I was looking for similar kits and they were going to cost up to $100 in local stores – *IF* I could find them. This kit has everything you need in a nice compact carry case to help you stay organized. Static sensitive bags for parts like the main board. It was a bit tricky to find the email to ask for the link to the tutorial software since I don’t have a CD, but as soon as you open the box, there is a card there with the email address and they will be adding a QR code to the CD label to give you a direct link to the tutorials – so that will help make this even better. Thank you LAFVIN!

Arduino Uno Board Broken on arrival
I purchased this to supplement my intro to robotics class at the beginning of the pandemic, and the Arduino UNO board that came with the set is BROKEN. I was able to assemble my project and had it working for a couple minutes, but something happened without me doing anything but unplugging it and plugging it back in. Now I can’t upload anything onto it, making it useless. It works perfectly fine with my NANO(genuine) but wont upload to the UNO, so its not the software, my code, or my wiring.after some research, I ran the tests recommended by Arduino(the company) and it turns out this unit fails the loopback test, which is a basic test that tells you if the board is even working or worth repairing. As far as I can tell, the rest of the components in the kit are in working order. Ive only been able to use the IR remote/sensor and the servo and stepper motors but they seem decent enough quality for a beginner.I will say, though, that the equipment pictured in the data sheets is NOT the same as what you physically get, and even though the essential stuff like schematics and wiring diagrams seem to be correct, they are very confusing and hard to read(and before you think it, YES, I know how to read a wiring diagram)

Awesome kit to learn arduino programming and general electronics.
Awesome arduino lot. So many things and price to value is super awesome.I was interested in adruino and wanted to learn some programming/electronics. Buying this kit hat helped me learn so much about general electronics and programming. The set comes with an UNO r3 board (not original though). So many wires, resistors, motors, displays, sensors, led’s, buttons etc. This truly is an all in one kit if you want to do basic things. For advanced you can buy more sensors available on Amazon. I had so much fun with this kit that i am considering buying the ultimate arduino kit now which includes even more things. An awesome kit, includes so many things, you can build so many things with this kit. The limit is your imagination.

The best arduino Kit!!!
I bought this kit for my little daughter, she is only 9 years old.He had to make a project for the school, when she saw the board working it was amazing. This is really great for beginners, it does not need any effort to assemble.I only had a little problem. “our laptop does not have CD room player”, but I wrote to customer support and they kindlily sent me the tutorial in almost immediately.Another thing, I showed this kit to a friend and they absolutely like it, two of them are going to buy it.I someone is reading this and asking his self “Should I buy it?” sure, buy it. There is no better price, there is no better kit!

Beginners
The product arrived in very good condition, all pieces accounted for and on time, and is a good value for the product. I’m a beginner when it comes to dealing with circuits and programming, as I don’t have much of a background in it, so I was a bit disappointed when the only instructions or learning material was a CD. My PC doesn’t have a disk drive so I reached out to the seller who quickly (within 24hrs) responded and sent me a link to download the “tutorial” that walks you through the steps of learning the material and gives lessons on using it. Its VERY detailed and (in my opinion) better than using a CD because you can review it at your own pace without having to pause or rewind (in case you miss something). Highly recommend for anyone whose a novice, although some base understanding or knowledge in programming and circuits would help, its not necessary as everything is very detailed. I’m pleased with the product so far but will come back and edit when I’ve finished going through the “tutorial & lessons”.

takes time but a good project
My 9 year old son is really into this. He used a similar kit over the summer at a science camp. He has already been busy making stuff happen. He had some questions and the company has an online forum with q and a that have already been asked. This beginner kit has a ton of stuff and information definitely worth the cost.UPdate2: the seller contacted me and gave me a full refund. They also helped us to navigate the site and get the software downloaded so my son could actually start building something. If you are having trouble with something don’t hesitate to ask questions.Update1: So as we have moved further down the rabbit hole with this kit it has become apparent that it really isn’t a great purchase. We thought it was going to be user friendly but their software would never download to the computer so that was an issue. We though maybe youtube had some video options we could follow for setting things up but this is truly a start kit and every project we could find required the purchase of more items. This might be a good purchase for someone who is really experienced in this area but not for someone who is just getting into it. Not beginner friendly.

I’m a Newbie and Very Pleased With Lafvin Support and How Quick I Got Started
I have been interested in electronics for a long time but until recently, did not pursue it. At first I was not sure how to begin. Researching options this online can be intimidating. There are books, DIY videos, kits, etc. I finally settled on kits and thought the Arduino platform would offer a good entry point and I’d be able to go as far as I could or wanted. But there are many choices of companies and kits too. I choose Lafvin since the components are high quality and fully compatible with Arduino software. They have a very good price and it is actually hard to believe all the components you get in the Super Starter Kit.The instructions worked for me right out of the box and a few beginning questions I had were answered by their support promptly. I was very surprised to find that I got the Lafvin R3 microcontroller board connected to my MacBook, loaded and tweaked the first project’s code, and got it working within an hour. That’s awesome for someone with no prior experience with this system or code. The instruction documents are very helpful.I’m looking forward to using this to learn a whole lot more about circuits and programming with this system. Thanks Lafvin

Pretty complete set, but the most important peices arrived damaged
Edit: it was not the seller at all that replaced the item, it was the manufacturer, LAFVIN. Soooo, I give it 5 stars because I can say with confidence that anything you buy made by this company, the manufacturer will stand behind, even if it takes a few weeks to get the product.Edit: I have received my replacement, and now I can give this set four stars. Like I said in my initial review, it is a great value! You get a lot of pieces for a great price, just be aware the breadboard is not the best quality, and be sure to check the pins on the UNO. I would make this purchase again, and it seems like most people have no issues with thier kits, I must have just been unlucky. But the seller replaced the faulty units for free and even included a gift. I was a little disappointed that it took about four weeks since they sent it literally from China, but they responded very quickly and did everything I could reasonably expect to remedy the situation. The seller is getting 5 stars in a separate review.Edit: customer service replied promptly and sounded like they wanted to resolve the issues by sending replacement units. I provided my address, but now he never responded. Waiting to see if he will. Both the breadboard and the UNO R3 have dead pins. At least pins 0-7 are dead on the UNO, and the breadboard has a tom of dead spots. I had to use a multimeter to identify that they were indeed dead. I sent an email to the company with the contact info given in the box, I’ll see if they respond or not. If they do, this would be a lot better rated, as it is a good value, and comes with a lot of stuff. My only other gripe would be the lack of red wires. It would be nice to have a few red and black wires so that when I am just connecting power, I could use the common colors.

Ok for the Price Point
Received the product very quick and well packaged. However, a few issues about the kit I purchased. The Power Supply Modules is my biggest complaint, though it does appear to work, mine came with what looks like corroded or bad solder joints. It also appears to have some substance on it that is crusty but does not appear to be flux of any type, almost like some sort of glue?? Pictures included showing what I mean. I imagine at some point I might have to reflow the solder joints and clean up the board but unsure what is on it. The top side of the board had some sticky substance on the chips right below the capacitor that I wiped off with a Q-Tip, but again, does not appear to be flux and is not from the cap itself, unsure of what it was. Almost, looks like I received a used or damaged module?? I do not know for sure, but it does not appear new or at least does not appear it was quality checked. While playing around with the breadboard, I have found so far 6 bad jumper wires. A quick test with my meter showed that the connection from one end of the lead to the other is open. It had me wondering why my L.E.D. was not lighting on my breadboard until I discovered the jumper wire was bad. With the mentioning of the Breadboard, there are many sockets that are very loose that do not make a very good connection and many that are very hard to push a pin into. The power rails on the side also do not stay lined up and often are easily pulled away from the main center of the Breadboard. It is almost a must to mount the Breadboard to something sturdy to prevent this. The breadboard is slightly warped, not a huge issue, but makes for sitting a flat surface a little difficult as it will rock from corner to corner. The Breadboard color is quite different from my 3 Elegoo boards, it is a much paler yellowish color and slightly smaller, small to the point that the brackets are off by a couple of millimeters as to not allow joining the board with my Elegoo boards. The DC Motor that came with the kit, my wires are barely held on via Solder, actually, my positive lead on my DC Motor was not attached upon arrival, but this was an easy fix with a soldering iron, very minor issue, DC motor appears to work fine though! Conclusion / Final Thoughts:I have found many other issues with the kit I received. +5V connection on the Arduino is very very loose, to the point it is almost unusable. I had not noticed this before as I was powering my breadboard from the Power Supply Module. Sadly, I only got around to checking out the sound sensor today as I am off of work for my weekend (Sunday and Monday), however, my Sound Sensor also has what looks like corrosion on a solder joint. If you are looking just to learn and get into this cheaply, then this kit will work, however, if you want quality I would check out other brands. I personally am dissappointed in going the cheaper route and will no doubt end up buying one of the better kits.

Hard to beat
I purchased a class set of these and used them with an engineering class (high school). These kits took quite a beating and performed great. I even gave out new kits at honors night. My students loved the Arduino lessons and learned enough to be scary (with great power…). I’m buying four more now to add to my class set for the upcoming year. I buy these kits because they are cheaper than the alternatives and I have yet to get a bad board or component. We did manage to tear stuff up, but that’s part of learning…. and replacement components are cheap. Arduino takes patience but it’s worth it. So yes, worth the money absolutely.
