The mounting was a little frustrating. There are slots for 2 screws but there are tabs preventing larger screws to lock it into place. You want to find a size #4 screw. Another reviewer said #8, but I could not get #8 and #6 to lock in due to the tab.otherwise works great so far. I like all of my Kasa products

Purchased as a power strip addition to a very connected smart home setup. They’re being used to remotely reboot the TV, Apple TV streamer and Sonos soundbar at my Mom’s place. Scheduled the process so each is power cycled at approx 3:00 AM to reboot and keep everything behaving properly.Love the attention to fine details such as being able to toggle off the indicator lights.

I started off with the individual smart outlets, and have those all plugged in in most of the outlets in my home. However, I wanted more of my pluggable products to be connected to a smart outlet, so I can remotely control when they turn on and off, set timers, set schedules, etc…Since I ran out of available wall outlets, I bought this wonderful power strip, so I can add more! I have my lamp, dog treat camera, and home security camera plugged into this outlet. It is perfect because I have all three products scheduled to turn on and off at a specific time.Hope my review helps!

I’m currently using this to reset my router and modem at night and haven’t had a problem with internet since! Great product, easy to setup

I wanted to be able to plug in both my Yule tree, and the lights in the window, and the regular floor lamp we keep in the corner. The Kasa power strip was perfect for that, and with being able to either control it through the app, or my smart speaker I’ve got the tree and the window on timers, and the floor lamp on voice control. It’s great!I did have a hard time connecting at first, but that’s because I use Duck Duck Go which installs a VPN on your phone – you’ve got to turn that off for the first connection. Other than that I was able to connect despite being on a different floor as my router. Great signal strength!

it’s a cool gadget. easy to setup, durable quality. Just be aware, sven as others state, this dies not sork well /sync with Alexa. Alexa don’t recognize it or only turns on/off one device but doesn’t recognize the others. it’s easier to just use the app.

As a hardware hacker with a penchant for home automation, Kasa’s KP303 piqued my curiosity. Three individually controllable smart outlets, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, and ETL-certified surge protection – all in a compact, user-friendly package? Sign me up.Initial setup was a breeze, the Kasa app guiding me through a painless Wi-Fi handshake. Connectivity remains rock-solid, even on the fringes of my router’s reach, thanks to its sensitive 5dBi antennas. Individual outlet control is a boon, letting me power-cycle finicky devices or automate elaborate “movie night” routines through the app’s intuitive timer and scheduling features.Speaking of the app, it’s a geek’s playground. Granular power monitoring lets me track individual outlet consumption, which is a boon for optimizing energy use. The local API access, a hidden gem, opens doors for custom Raspberry Pi integrations and voice control beyond Alexa and Google Assistant. However, no tech gem is flawless. The lack of 5GHz Wi-Fi support might irk bandwidth-hungry users, and the app’s versatile automation options could benefit from more advanced logic like geofencing or IFTTT compatibility. The Kasa KP303 is a potent blend of user-friendly convenience and techie delight. Its robust connectivity, individual outlet control, and hidden API access make it a steal for the price. While it won’t replace my Frankenstein’s monster of custom Pi-powered relays, it’s earned a permanent spot on my workbench – and a solid recommendation for tech-savvy tinkerers seeking a smart power upgrade.
Love it, very durable. –
I love these things, this is the 2nd one iv got and I use them for my reptile enclosures to put there lights on a schedule. They work great, do exactly what they’re suppose to do and they’re very customizable in the app. Also the surge protector or whatever it’s called? I think it saved my bearded dragons life one day. I got home and his basking bulb was out, I also noticed it was turned off in the app which just confused me.. so I thought maybe the bulb got loose or if it just for some reason didn’t turn on that day so I twisted the bulb in there a little more and turned it back on and sparks started flying everywhere, the outlet extender shut that light off and kept my dragon safe. Also it is completely silent unlike my other timed outlet extender. Highly recommend, really great quality product.

I am using this to control a table lamp and floor lamp in our living room, where the switches on the lamps were a bit hard to reach. Connecting to Wi-Fi was easy using the Kasa app. Was also easy to link to Amazon Alexa. Now we can easily turn the lights on or off via voice or smartphone. Looking forward to setting automatic timers when we are on vacation.

I honestly love this extension cord because it works through Wi-Fi and I can control my devices even if I am not in the house. There is a timer I can set it up. It works with Alexa. The insulation was pretty simple. The size and the shape are good and it actually looks nice. The cord is not very long but for what I needed works pretty good. It’s easy to use easy install and it’s worth it of the money.
