Buster –
Use this for patio lights, Christmas lights and anything else I want to run on a timer outdoors. They can overheat if in direct sun on very hot days which will cause them to not work. Solid wi-fi range and function. Love that I can turn all my lights on using groups in the app and still have the ability to turn on/off manually if needed. I have quite a collection of these now and no looking back.

This is a perfect outoor dimmer for lights. I use mine under my deck for the patio area and I bought another for lighting my flag. I also bought one for my girlfriend’s gazebo lights. The ability of setting the dimmer level manually or using the presets is a nice bonus.NOTE: The unit is water resistant , not waterproof . Make sure you set or mount it with plug facing downward ( per the instructions) or it will fill up with water under a heavy rain. I ruined one that way.

Works great. Important to know that you can only install one of these per house outlet because they are large plugging in. You could plug in normal plug in the top outlet if you wanted to. Only dims through Phone app, not on plug. Have only used it once or twice so far.

I used this behind a piece of furniture because the plug is smaller than the “smart plugs”. You have to plug your device into the front of the smart plug which cause you to have to move your furniture far off the wall. I could get my hard furniture closer to the wall without his huge gap and the “smart” piece hug below to plug my lamp into.

First of all, Kasa has my loyalty. Everything I have purchased from them, Mini-plugs to power strips, has worked seamlessly. So to do these Outdoor smart dimmers. However, I don’t use them outdoors, I have them attached individually to lava lamps that due to design, need a little more power than the suggested bulb, but less than the next available wattage. They’ve really helped find the sweet spot for positive flow and allow me to dim the lamps, if they begin to show heat stress. Everything works seamlessly with Alexa.What I wish they made was a smaller dimmer, or at least something exactly like this, but smaller and for indoor use. They tend to be pretty bulky which makes them a little more difficult to hide behind stuff. Other than that, they work and if you need an outside dimmer for your party lights, I’m 100% sure they will work for that as well.

I have multiple Kasa smart switches, That’s why I decided to go with this one. We bought some patio lights that were very bright and needed a dimmer. I decided to get this since it works well with Google and Alexa. Most of our smart products work with those two services. Took me about 3 minutes to get it connected to our network with no problem. This was easy to install and set up. I like the fact that it’s relatively compact and has a good weather rating. It is under a covered porch so hopefully it will last a long time. The dimmer function works really well. The app has evolved over time and I can say it simply works.

I purchased the Kasa Outdoor Smart Plug when an older Wemo version stopped working, and it’s an excellent replacement. It was easy to set up and program, and appears sturdy and well made. I’m using it to run a pool pump for about 12 hours a day, and so far, it has worked great. The price was right, too.

There really isn’t any reason to take any photos . The product works perfectly, it’s waterproof, high quality construction , flap plug cover when not using , keeping out the elements and works right from my iPhone . I can turn it off and on, dim or brighten the lights . I would say if you’re looking for a smart outdoor/indoor quality , priced right dimmer , then this is the way to go. The set up was easy and quick compatible with regular plugs .

I like the fact that this Kasa smart plug works and works well. I’ve been using this unit to turn on/off my dehumidifier in my basement when my utility increases their rates during daytime hours. The Kasa app on my phone allows me to make schedules that controls all of my Kasa smart devices. I’ve found this brand to be very reliable and have never had a failure on any of my 10+ smart devices.PROS:- Reliable- Can be controlled with the Kasa app on your phone, manually, or using Alexa voice commands- Kasa app to control with smartphone allows multiple schedules and shows status of device on/off- Heavy Duty enough to control my dehumidifier- Can be used outdoors- Has a green pilot light that turns on/off depending on the status of the plug- Has a manual override push button switch on the unit in the event you wish to override the schedule- Has worked flawlessly for over a year ( I purchased multiple of this model)- Often goes on saleCONS:- None found on any of my Kasa 10+ units
