I purchased this item to have a corner feeding station wherein I plant the finch bird seed to grow for my gouldian finches. It takes about 4 days for the seed to go to “grass” and its a huge hit! Finches love sprouted seeds and need their “salad.” This dish isnt large but the ceramic makes it sturdy, easy to clean and fits perfectly out of the way on the floor in the back corner of their cage! Ive just ordered a 2nd so I have grown seed by the time the first offering is demolished lol. If you keep finches, this is a must have item!!! I set a newly planted dish in the cage to add a photo for your review and one of my 3 finches flew right to it (back corner on the right.)

Much easier to clean since it doesn’t have grooves. Wish I could get a larger one.
