My new go-to reference for AWS IAM!
Identity Management on AWS is incredibly powerful, and that power can make it intimidating, even to someone with years of IAM experience. Whether you’re just getting started with AWS or have years of experience managing identity in a large, global enterprise, it’s critical that you get Identity Management right to protect your intellectual property and your investment in AWS hosting. This book covers it all, from soup to nuts. It’s very logically laid out with each chapter building on the last. It’s full of real-world examples and references for where you can go to learn even more. This book will take the mystery out of AWS IAM. It’s now my go-to reference for all things AWS IAM.

The first and best source to untangle IAM for AWS
This tome contains vast sums of knowledge and arranges it in sensible and relatable ways. Targeted at neophytes and old hands alike this book conveys everything one would need to know in order to build a fresh, well-managed environment or return to an existing environment with a more holistic understanding of the security model as it relates to users and identities. The book is loaded with command examples, concept definitions, and sample code all written in a clean clear way that can be used in your own environments. Finally; if you have ever had a question about how AWS handles IAM, individuals granted permissions, or how to harden an environment from an access management perspective then this is a title that you should pick up.

Single-best explanation of any AWS service ever
This book gets better each time I go through it and it’s honestly the single best resource for any AWS service that I’ve ever read. Step by step, concept by concept, service by service, the author builds a strong foundation to build the reader’s knowledge upon. The detail associated with the system descriptions, followed by real-world examples and in-depth, but easily-understandable, explanations makes this book not just technically valuable but accessible to developers and identity practitioners at almost every level. I bought my own copy plus my partner and I each bought copies for our sons who are entering the cybersecurity field. This book goes to the top of my list of resources I recommend to those new to the space, as well as seasoned pros who still struggle with the complexities of these services. Well done and here’s to hoping the author continues to produce such work for other services.
