I just love this book! Even if you’re not a big reader or rarely have time to pick up a book, this one is a must read. It’s refreshing to read the both funny and deeply relatable experiences of a mother who is guided by her faith. Everyone can appreciate the author’s uplifting tone that shines throughout the book. I would recommend this book to anybody looking for honest and inspiring anecdotes about parenthood.

“I Quit The Family” spoke to me in ways I never anticipated. At first glance, I thought it might be a lighthearted take on the challenges of parenting, perhaps a humorous escape from the overwhelming responsibilities. Yet, as I delved into its pages, I discovered a profoundly heartfelt exploration of the intricate web of emotions that accompany motherhood. The book’s uniqueness shines through in its blend of witty humor and authentic, raw narratives that unite all mothers – whether first-timers, seasoned, or expecting – in a shared journey of love, sacrifice, and self-discovery. A heartfelt recommendation to any parent seeking solace and connection amidst the beautiful chaos of raising children.

The author cuts to the chase when it comes to her feelings of being a mom. Sharing personal stories of what she believed motherhood would look like, versus what she received. She was unprepared for the whirlwind of challenges each child faced. She reveals her secret to reaching the other side of trauma, challenges and fears. It’s a good book for both moms and dads.

I was given this book as a gift, and I read it after my first son was born. Ironically, I read it in about 3 days while my son was napping – an easy read that I found comforting and reassuring as a first time mom. Andrea’s stories are hilarious and relatable. She touchingly ties all of her happenstances back to God and her faith, which I found so refreshing. Highly recommend this book to anyone raising (or who HAS raised) a little!
