This dehydrator is wonderful!! I have never dehydrated anything before but this was so easy to do. It comes with an instruction manual and a recipe book to give some ideas. This was great and we used one recipe to start with, the apples. It was so simple – the hardest part was cutting each piece evenly. Following the directions we set the temperature and the time the pressed the power button and it did its thing. These apples came out so delicious – better than I thought it would, being that it was the first time ever. These were eaten up so fast, now we need more! I am so impressed with this dehydrator – I can’t wait to try another recipe. I highly recommend this product!!

This is about the size of a microwave. It has 2 different kind sof shelves, on lateral lines only and one a checkered wire pattern for smaller items. I followed the directions for the apples and it took the exact 8 hours. I used a mandolin to slice the apples so they were equal thickness and all layers dried evenly. I did not have to move racks or rotate the fruit. What a wonderful relief. It makes a little noise but not very loud, more of a fan noise. It arrived quickly and really is a well made machine.Recipe book has dog treats as well as human treats.So happy with this. It will be used a lot.

This food dehydrator is an amazing….it works so easy, cleans easily and is well made!! The possibilities are endless with this, jerky, dried herbs, fruit and veggies for longer shelf stability. Food waste is a huge problem. We throw out way too much compostable food that took energy from the earth to grow but never gets put back in because it gets capped off in a landfill. This dehydrator has cut the amount of fruit and veg we were throwing out by 75%. When it’s obvious we won’t finish something before it’s too ripe, we slice and dehydrate. We’ve done apples, carrots, peppers, even dandelion flowers and leaves for tea.It has several settings so can be adjusted to fit the type of food you’re drying. It doesn’t seem to produce a lot of heat around the unit, so we’ll be able to use it freely in the summer when the garden produces too fast for us to eat everything. I’m excited to finally have a food dehydrator because we love dried snacks but they are stupid expensive for what they are—old, dried out fruit and veg. Way too easy and cheap to do it myself! This one has good capacity, which means it also takes up significant counter space, but for us it’s a good trade off because we use it often.

I’ve been wanting a dehydrator for a long time. I have been trying to go plant-based for health reasons, and snack foods are almost impossible to find. When I’m in the mood for a snack, I want a snack that I don’t have to spend thirty minutes in the kitchen and dirty ten dishes to make. I want to grab something and get back to whatever I was doing before. I thought if I could dehydrate fruits and veggies, I would have quick grab snacks for when I get the munchies. I also dehydrate fruits to keep on hand for my simmer pot. Before I got this dehydrator, I had to just dehydrate one tray at a time in my oven. Now, I can dehydrate 8 trays at once. It’s so much faster and easier. As for my snacks, my daughter came home from a farmer’s market the other day with dehydrated tomatoes that had been seasoned to taste like pizza. They were so good! Now it’s my goal to figure out how to make these tomatoes and even more yummy snacks like this. I could have eaten her whole bag of tomatoes if she would have let me. And now I can make them on my own. This is also a really nice-looking appliance. It has a touch screen and digital display. It looks sleek and shiny in my kitchen, and it matches my stainless-steel appliances.
