Fast reading book that was hard to put down. You are immediately immersed in the characters’ lives and invested in the outcome of the story.

When Emma got married to Noah he began traveling. They had a daughter named Maya but he didn’t always spend time with her. When he was in a car accident a mother and child were with him. Noah was in a comma and they weren’t sure if he was gonna live. While he was unconscious in the hospital Emma did some research and found out Noah was sending money to this woman that was in the accident with him. She didn’t make it but, the little girl did. Emma thought all the traveling that Noah was doing that he had a secret family. As it turns out the woman was his brothers wife and that was her daughter. The brother and his wife were struggling with addiction and he was trying to help her and the little girl. He came to in the hospital and told Emma everything. In the meantime she had taken the girl in because there was no one else. She found his father whom Noah never talked about. He pretended to be something he wasn’t. After explaining everything to Emma he died . The little girl had only known him and her mother. Well Emma and her daughter and Emma’s best friend came to love the little girl and eventually adopted her . After all she was her niece. Noah’s father whom he lied and said had died because he was ashamed of the way he grew up became a part of their life.
