Broke the battery compartment on my old 18 yr.old one so replaced with this one. It’s my second one like this paid much more for the first one at home depot it’s at th front of my home, I got this one on Amazon days for half price its at the back of home 2000 sq.ft. big l shape may get another for center no batteries for 10 yrs.yes . Feel much safer

I had one of these that started beeping. I checked and I was surprised that it was just slight over 10 years old which is the stated lifetime. I searched by model number and purchased the same model from Amazon. It was super easy to install and is working as expected.

Super easy to install and set up, very detailed instructions included. Was a little skeptical at first, as it arrived in a plain, brown cardboard box. But the actual unit, and instructions were genuine (trusted) First Alert. Kinda hard to rate the 10 year battery so far, but even if it lasts 5 years, it’s still a great buy. Would buy again. Very happy with my purchase!
