Bought this on a whim and so glad I did. Everyone in the family uses it & it’s easy to clean too. We like the fact you can add the butter on the top and it melts down into the kernels so there’s better distribution of butter.Just make sure to supervise young children as the glass can get hot when making a full pot. You also need to follow the directions and listen to the popping so you don’t scorch the popcorn. So don’t walk away during the last minute of popping like I did or you may scorch it. Also, we learned different popcorn types vary in popping time.

Like a lot of you, over the years I’ve tried just about every type of popcorn maker there is. Lately I’d been using the silicone type, but was frustrated with the lid tilting in the microwave. So i was hoping this glass model would solve that! It not only did, it also made the best popcorn we’ve had in a long time.I did have 2 bad batches until I figured out the right amount of kernels to use and the right amount of time to use for my microwave. Mine is only 900 watts, what works for me is slightly under 1/2 cup kernels set for 4 minutes. I didn’t like using the lid for measuring nor for butter. Instead, I use a measuring cup and I put a small pat of butter directly on the kernels. It comes out great every time now!

This is the 4th of this specific popper that I’ve purchased – 2 for me (I broke one because I put it in the dishwasher), and 2 as gifts. I love this popper! It does take a bit of trial & error to get the popcorn to pop to your personal preferences, especially if you live at a higher altitude, but the popcorn is great.I live at 6,500 ft altitude and this is what works for me: put 2 tablespoons coconut oil and 3/8 cup popcorn in the popper, put the lid on & put the popper in the microwave. Set the microwave for 4 minutes & wait. When the pops start slowing down, take the popcorn out & empty it into a bowl. I then put butter in the still-hot popper & stir it up until it melts, then pour it over the popcorn. Also, although it says that this product is dishwasher safe, I recommend hand-washing it.

I haven’t purchased or eaten traditional microwave popcorn in over 15 years. I thought it tasted funny and never clos to the real thing. Instead I have been using a Whirly Pop stove top popper and it works well enough. Then one day at the office I saw a coworker with a silicone bowl she was using to pop corn in the microwave. I looked for a similar one on Amazon and found this one which I think is superior because it’s glass, has a handle and a lid you use to measure the kernels and also to melt butter onto the popcorn as it pops. Brilliant!I set the microwave for 5 minutes instead of the 2.5-4 minutes recommended in the use instructions figuring I could stop the microwave when the popping slowed to 2 seconds between pops. My microwave is pretty powerful and the popcorn for one lid full of kernels took most of the 5 minutes. I salted the popcorn and devoured it straight from the bowl. The heat in the bowl keeps the popcorn warm and the handle saves you from burning you while you hold the bowl. The popcorn comes out so tasty, hot and crunchy. Delicious. Since this one is destined for the office I will have to buy another one for home. Buy this and you won’t regret it. This would make a great gift with some kernels and popcorn salt.

This lil guy makes really good popcorn, it makes a little at a time but worth the extra time to make a few batches. I add coconut oil with the kernels and adjusted my time , no more burnt popcorn and it’s crispy good. Took a few trials to get the time right but I love this thing. Easy breezy

This is a nice little corn popper. I was surprised at how well it works. 3 minutes for popping is pretty much the max time otherwise it does burn.

First of all Popcorn is a whole grain and a good source of fiber and low in calories as a snack. I used to get the bags for the microwave and then started to read the ingredients, where the kernels where from and was appalled so started to look for healthy alternatives. First bought nongmo organic popcorn and used a pot on the stove to pop it and it didn’t turn out so well. Then found this glass popper for the microwave which is essentially like using the popcorn bags but now controlling the type of popcorn that I can use. Buy nongmo organic bags of popcorn kernels. I’m super happy with this popper but let me give you some tips for success.1. Do not add butter to the top of the cover as it will end up burning anyway before all the kernels are finished popping and taste bad. Add it after.2. Add fewer kernels than you think maybe half the top measure otherwise you will get burnt kernels before the last ones are popped. If you need more just do two sessions.3. Use the high power on the microwave for 3 minutes. Place the popper in the dead center of the microwave tray, not rotating around the edge. That’s very important. You will then get the kernels popping the fastest and get a good batch. As soon as you hear the first 3 second lag of popping hit the stop button if there’s too much time left. Be prepared to expect that some kernels may not be popped. Discard them as they are not reusable but hopefully you get better at guaging the pop level. Popping too long will result in yucky burned popcorn making good popcorn smell and taste bad so better to sacrifice some unpopped kernels for better popcorn.4. Although I’ve given you advice it may take a few sessions to get good at it so don’t give up. I like the fact that the popcorn is being popped in a glass popper, not fried in a pot, not popped in a bag with who knows what chemicals are in it.5. Enjoy.

I recently invested in a microwave popcorn popper, and it has completely transformed my popcorn game. This ingenious device offers a hassle-free and eco-friendly way to enjoy a favorite snack. The popper is incredibly easy to use – just add kernels, place it in the microwave, and within minutes, you have a bowl of perfectly popped popcorn, free from additives and excess oil.The silicone material is not only durable but also collapsible for convenient storage. Its heat-resistant design ensures safe handling, and the lid doubles as a popcorn bowl. I appreciate the cost-effectiveness and reduced environmental impact of using loose kernels compared to pre-packaged microwave popcorn. This microwave popcorn popper has become a kitchen essential, delivering consistently delicious results with minimal effort and waste. It’s a game-changer for popcorn enthusiasts seeking a healthier and more sustainable snacking option.

My kids and I love popcorn but I am not comfortable with them popping it on the stove and I hate all the packaging and gross stuff in microwave popcorn. This popcorn maker is just as fast as microwave popcorn. We have used both the fancy Amish popcorn kernels and cheap supermarket kernels. We are very happy with the results and the popcorn maker is easy to clean.

We eat a lot of popcorn in our house and buying the popcorn in bags is not the healthiest. I bought this as a Christmas present to make healthier popcorn at home and I’m happy I did. It’s very easy to use cleans up well and perfectly portion sized.
