Manche Plastikteile sind zu dünn und Brechen beim montieren. ( A25) . Herstellersupport über Amazon nicht zu erreichen. Verkabelung zur Platiene für normale Menschen nicht schaffbar da 6 außenteile nur gesteckt und nicht fixiert sind und gleichzeitig ca 10 kabelstränge auf die Platiene bei minimalen Platz gesteckt werden sollen.

Comprato per uso didattico. Materiale tutto in plastica, dunque scadente. Il montaggio del robot è complesso ed inoltre gli agganci tra le viti ed i dadi è effettuata tramite fessure che contengono i dadi stessi. I dadi non sono fissi e dunque liberi di muoversi nelle fessure per il montaggio. Lo spazio per contenere la scheda raspberry interna è strettissimo e tutti i cavi interni sono compressi. Inoltre la tecnologia raspberry per applicazioni di riconoscimento video va lenta e continuamente in blocchi e malfunzionamenti dovuti al fatto che scalda tantissimo, consumando tra l’altro tutta la batteria. In poche parole inutilizzabile.

No trae un circuito que es esencial para manejarlo y que se vende a parte por mas de 150€, con lo que no esta completo, aunque en el anuncio parece que si viene completo e induce a error principalmente para principiantes que no tienen conocimiento sobre robótica.

Sturdy build, poor components

This is a very good quality build, however the components are not so great! I had to repair a wire from the battery compartment as no power was being supplied to the pi hat. I also change the supplied camera ribbon as the one in the box was faulty, luckily I had a spare one at home! So anyone who is not adept with fault finding in electronics I would tread carefully here as this would not work out of the box! Saying that, once I repaired and replaced parts, the actual robot itself is a great little project build, its a sturdy build! Also, good luck getting all the wires in the casing!

Impossible à démarrer ! (en fait, si !)

Impossible à démarrer ! J’ai abandonné l’idée de pouvoir installer sur mes Raspberry (3 testés). Le logiciel plante dès les premières lignes d’installation. Scandaleux pour le prix ! Cela fait 3 jours que je me bats avec l’installation de ce truc que je n’aurais JAMAIS dû acheter, et que j’aurais dû tester de suite, pour pouvoir le renvoyer ! Les modifications du Python d’installation “tout pourri” n’y change rien, trop de dépendances non satisfaites pour en sortir quoi que que soit !EDIT : J’ai ENFIN réussi à démarrer le logiciel, leur “setyp.py” n’était pas compatible avec une version standard/full de Raspbian. J’ai modifié toutes les dépendances (une à une) pour le rentre compatible.

Robot kit does not come with a Raspberry Pi

The robot kit does not come with a Raspberry Pi which was not clearly identified in the promo material.The assumption was that the kit could be built and used – but without a Raspberry Pi, it can’t be made.I have subsequently tried to buy a Raspbery Pi 3 or 3b but most suppliers seem to be out of stock.I bought this for my 13 year old son who was keen to develop his robotic modelling and programming skills, but without the key Raspberry Pi component, this cannot be done (can’t even begin building) so it’s a bit of a let down. If anyone can support helping locate a 3 or 3b for circa £30 – £50 which seems to be the going rate, then I’d appreciate it.

Great Little Robot Kit – Dont expect it to bring you a beer/coke

All in all, a great little robot with some nice electronics. Entertained us for about a day and halfto build it.- Ignore the flimsy instruction sheet that comes, and download the pdf with the full instructions https://www.adeept.com/video/static1/itemsfile/Tutorial_12-11.pdf-Download the full raspian image (gui and all) as the lite one doesnt work (missing some packages)you can setup the wifi network using the file suggested on the instructions direct to the sd card to avoid keyboard/monitor being needed- On Windows use notepad++ to write the wifi file to sd, normal windows notepad puts line feeds in and while it looks ok in windows, the pi will not read itTheir script that downloads everything and sets it all up works perfectly if you use the full gui raspian imageattach the servo cables as instructed right at the start to get the pi working and allow it to set the servos to centre. Dont worry about the led light wiring until the diagrams later which show it explicitlywe snapped a servo collar piece when removing it from the laser cut sheet – dont worry there are 3 extra ones providedWhen assembling the final side pieces (large plates) turn robot on its side, to allow you to balance the nut in the opening to screw then on otherwise nut will drop out and inside the robot, otherwise you will need about 5 hands.-Right motor is motor 2, left is motor 1 – insert cables at the same time as you attach all the servos during final nightmare assembly. pass the servo cables through the top plate before connecting then to the board or you will have to undo them from the board.- Our camera had the ribbon at the bottom rather than the top, else image is upside down its plenty long enough to bend gently over the top of the camera bracket- Use the servo extender cable for the gripper servo or the wires are not long enough to assemble the robot fullycable management is a nightmare, especially care with the camera ribbon as its fragile, and tucking the servo cables down the sides of the pi to allow the top place to be placed in the right placeIf you find the motors drive really nice, but the servos are really slow and jerky, check one of them isnt jammed against the end of its travel – the servos will use all their strength to hold position regardless of whether the joints allow it, and will use all the servo power – shut off robot and check all servos can move by hand (you cant do this with the power on as they hold fast in place)Elbow and shoulder motors seem blended together as there is no separate elbow control buttons, this still works though but you cant manually direct the elbow motor. It cant really grip anything substantial, so forget having it bring you a beer.- Arm up/down seems to be the camera/ultrasonics on ours, ‘hand up/down’ is the shoulder and elbow- The collars that attach the driven wheels to the motors have their holes cut too large for the spindle on the motors, resulting in it being hard to centre then on the shafts, they could have made the hole smaller and only needed one grub screw, so the driven wheels look a little buckled when they turn – not a major issue.- Dont forget that the SD card is buried deep within the bowels of the robot, you wont be able to get it out after assembley!Software is actually quite advanced, there is scope here for hours of development and tweaking, on a great little fully featured platform.

Bot good but pi system crap

This should be sold as a kit to where you can build it like this one is but the differents is the programing already set up as I have sped 2 days trying to set up programing and getting not where so I think I will turn this in to an rc type set up

Good piece of kit

Brilliant product. Will need an Adult to be involve in building if you are buying for a child. I build this with my 8 years old son who have programming skills up-to an intermediate level main in Python. And support is extra quick from the manufacturer. I had to contact the support twice and they responded super quick.

Sehr viele interessante technische Funktionen. Gut aufpassen, die Kunststoffteile brechen beim Zusammenschrauben schnell. Die Schrauben dürfen nicht zu stark angezogen werden. Sehr kleine Schrauben (M2) und Muttern. Die Kabel müssen stark gequetscht werden, da der Bauraum sehr eng ist. Die Toleranzen und Spiele des zusammengebauten Modells sind eher nicht so gut.Gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis, aufgrund der vielen Sensoren und Servos.

Minuspunkt für Amazon:- das Rasperry 4 zum Kauf vorzuschlagenAdeept bzw. Rasperry:Software lässt sich nicht wie im Video auf den Roboter übertragen. Akkus waren nach ein paar Minuten kaputt.Ich bereue es, dass ich so viel Geld für das Ding ausgegeben habe!

For our computational thinking curriculum we are going to use the RaspTank to integrate and learn with Raspberry Pi, Python and in the end some OpenCV stuff.Before the students will start assembling the tank, I had the opportunity to build one myself and get some experience. For the record this is also my first assembling robotics project. The product comes in a well-organized box. The screws and nuts are nicely put together in different plastic bags with separated labels on it. On the Adeept website I found the easy to follow tutorial with very clear graphics of the whole process. I didn’t use the videos at all. The tank itself has a smooth design where the cables are mostly covered so not visible at the outside. I had some trouble with the camera wire but after a few minutes, apart from the instructions, I found a better place in the compact structure. The tank was directly ready to ride when I finished the assembling process. It comes with a easy preinstalled WEB app. But as I mentioned before, as a teacher I want to use the RaspTank to learn programming to my students. The tutorial contains coding pages to control each sensor or actuator on the RaspTank and even make your own controlling app. And the fun part working with OpenCV to track objects or colours.The RaspTank is a great project to start with robotics and more. Just think of an agility and time trail!

An Excellent STEM project

An Excellent STEM project. I’m impressed with the design and quality of the kit. I did treat myaself to a new Raspberry Pi 4B already loaded with the operating system. Patience and care is needed when putting the project together but it is fun. The kit software loaded on to the Rasberry pi with no trouble and the first switch on was great. I did have the camera in upside down but this was easily fixed. The fun now starts with writing my own programs!

motor damaged

I bought this thing in march 22 and gifted it to my son in august. was his 11th birthday.It was untouched to this date.after unpacking and assembling for the motor debug, one of them was already broken.the right motor (for the chain) does also not work. We assembled it to the end either way but could not manage to get the right chain to work.Warranty seems to be not in place and return is not possible anymore.The first and last adeept product I bought.

Can we a great toy

We spent 3 days building the robot. However two of the five servos were not working which means the whole robot is not working. I tried to contact Amazon but they are unable to send replacement servos. I really don’t want to return it we just would like the replacement parts.Otherwise this is a really fun and challenging toy for my 11 year old son.

Does not come with raspberry pie computer.

It is a challenging kit to complete. The hardest part is fitting the wires into the small cavity. You need a raspberry pie computer, a 16 GB micro SD card, a micro SD card reader and a micro HDMI lead to install the program.

Please read the small print: it does not include the raspberry pi! So add another £30 to the price

I bought this march 12 2021 be warned the batteries are not normal and you will need to buy a charger for them.Google 18650 Batteries before you buy.the build is a bit of a mess as in order of build pi and hat divider doesn’t fit properly the screws are to short to join them also I got the wrong lead so can’t use l.e.d lights without having to alter stuff.very little help online with specifics of the Adeept hat apart from there own half hearted details so looks like I’m stuck with these weird and vulnerable batteries .I doubt I will use the board I’m prob gonna buy another hat and just redesign the arm part.if you want it for the arm just buy an arm and own servo boardMAKE SURE TO GOOGLE 18650 BATTERIES
