The media could not be loaded. Wow this tripod gets So Tall! I’ve tried quite a few of these kinds of expanding tripods, and this one is the BEST! The expansions are pretty tight, so even with it full extended, it’s very stable and it doesn’t flex a lot. I cannot even extend this entirely with the top in one hand and the bottom in the other hand, my arms are not long enough! There have been many times when I wanted my tripod to be just a little taller… mainly when I want to get a view from above, this one has no problem being tall! It also has no problem being short! The phone holder clip holds my enormous Galaxy S24 Ultra just fine, it feels very secure in the holder.The handle on this tripod locks a rotational axis so you can pan with the handle up, then push the handle down to lock it. Also, with the handle down, you can remove the head from this tripod entirely, and either use it as a selfie stick, or use the tripod with some other head, maybe a ball head. it has standard 1/4-20 threads so you could put whatever you want on the end of itNow these kinds of expanding tripods do swing around a little. but that’s ok… if you just leave them alone, they settle down, this one is better than any other one I tried even when extended a ridiculous amount! This one comes with a handy shutter remote that you can activate while on the handle, or better yet, you can remove it, and wait for it to stabilize, then take your photo or start your video without touching your phone or the tripod.. this is especially helpful if you have it fully extended and can’t even reach your phone! Did I mention how tall this is?One thing I really like about expanding tripods over regular camera tripods, is you can get them right up close to a table or workbench, or CNC machine and get great straight down shots without the tripod being in the frame…so it’s a trade off, but I often find I want to shoot a video in this manner and for those situations this tripod works really great!This also works great with my Galaxy Watch, because I can preview my photo from my watch, so I can have it WAY over my head and I never need to see my phone screen, I can see the shot on my watch, adjust the zoom from my watch, start recording a video or take a picture from my watch as well, so it’s great to have a tripod that can go so tall.The only issue I have with it is that expanding the tripod feet are difficult to get apart, they snap together a little too hard, also I’ve had it snap closed too fast too.. it’s kind of a minor point though, and I’m so happy with the new capability I have now that I didn’t feel this worth deducting an entire star for. I’ll probably get used to how to expand and collapse the tripod legs more gracefully.Did I mention how tall this can get? I am really impressed!
