Now, finally, I can burn, I mean cook burgers in the privacy of my own home without having to shout at the Smoke Detector, wave a dish towel at the smoke detector, point a fan through the kitchen and out the back door, etc. Now I, and my family, can enjoy well-done burgers in peace, and without making the other half of the duplex think the building’s on fire. 10/10

Oh man. Does your fire alarm go off if you even turn a single burner on, not even on high, to boil some water for pasta, long before it’s boiled? What if you turn your toaster on for fifteen seconds? Have you been unwittingly terrorizing your whole entire complex every time you want a snack, because 90% of your diet is carbs, so you just.. only use the microwave now? Me too!!!Some of you have been bold enough to just remove the battery. I too, attempted boldness, only to be attacked by it somehow going off again in my multiple attempts. Saran wrap didn’t work (and caused another attack). That blue painter’s tape didn’t work. A shower cap didn’t work. I can attest that in the last 24 hours of these being here not only have I maniacally burned my toast to a crisp, twice, I made spaghetti on the stovetop, messily, as well as jam. Nothing. Not a peep. It didn’t attack me when I put it on either. I’m still getting in the habit of removing it while not cooking but it’s nice to not have to feel like battery removal is the only option.
