It works great but not perfect. It does not restore 100% of the metal, but I think it does a pretty good job of removing rust for this value.

The car rust remover spray works great. I’m using the car rust remover to remove rust around the edge of a dent on my car. I tried it first on a metal porch chair that had rust on the bottom legs. It had pretty good results so I now trust it to use on my car’s dent area. The car rust remover spray absolutely works as advertised when used correctly.

I live in an area that gets lots of snow and cold, which means lots of deicer on the road. As everyone knows deicer makes everything rust and this product helps with that. You spray it on the parts that are showing surface rust and it wipes right off. This is for surface rust, not deep rust which requires a different product.

I have a yukon xl Denali and I planned on doing some body work to it and it was sitting for months not moved. There was obviously rust because I’m in michigan and from sitting there was rust on bumper in rear and on sides up front and I looked at this little bottle and said no way it would do much. WOW, I was so wrong, I want more of this, one squirt or two only on rusted parts and waited for about 10 min and then rinsed it off and used a soft round cleaning brush and rust came right off. All I see is the rust gone, metal is shiny like new, obviously some better then others only because how bad spots were rusted. I am so amazed by this I always work on my cars and detail and customize and tgis here will be a must have in my kits.

The bottle is VERY small. It does take off that surface rust and diminish the appearance of any deeper bigger rust

My trailer hitch was looking a bit rusty I used this and it was easy to clean up I then waxed the area to keep rust from coming back as fast

I’m not sure why some people have had a challenge with this rust remover. Maybe they’re not prepping the rust areas correctly. Any area that has rust you really need to carefully sand that area with the high grit sandpaper, being careful not to scratch any surrounding paint, which is why it’s good to tape off any surrounding paint.Once prepped, when you spray this stuff on and let it oxidize the remaining rust, you just simply spray a light coat of primer paint. After the primer has dried, then carefully spray a couple of coats of paint and you’re good to go. If you’re not spraying and it’s a small area, then you would use touch-up paint instead. The whole idea here is to oxidize any existing rust to stop it from spreading.
